Welcome, Richard J.
Welcome, Richard J.
With the increase of home burglaries around Halbrick Lane and Palmer Street, increasing the patrols in these areas will be paramount in stopping and/or preventing additional break-ins. Todd Cramer has reached out to the local neighborhood watch and will be putting together a rough schedule. Expect the updated patrol routes and hours before the end of the month.
The Town Council is starting to catch wind of the Eastern Urban Neighborhood Watch's (EUNW) petition to have a winter curfew established. We're months out from this actually having a vote taken. Officers should just be aware that if the vote does go through, City Hall is expecting the full enforcement of the curfew by the WSPD. If you have any pertinent objections to the petition, speak to Captain Bennett about appearing before the Town Council.
Since last quarter, Auto-Thefts have been down by roughly 15%. Keep up the good work guys and we might beat our July Record.
Thanks to the witnesses at the scene, and the sketch artist here at the station, we now have a face for our Robbery Suspect. A picture of the alleged individual can be seen on the bull pen bulletin board, and in the break room. Get a good look and take copies for out on patrol if necessary.
Thanks to the work of Detective Parks and the officers who tirelessly worked the crime scene, we have managed to close the Museum Robbery. The initial hearing for the accused hasn't been set yet, but make sure to get all the paperwork done before the end of the week. If you have any questions concerning the case, Detective Parks is the one to speak with.
Park Rangers from the Swaying Red Woods State Park have requested additional assistance with a missing person's incident. Details will be given at the next meeting, and some of you on patrol will be re-routed to help with the search. With the extra manpower, hopefully we'll find the hikers within the week.
This week, we are celebrating Captain Bennett's birthday. As per his request, it will not be a surprise party like last year (sorry about the hair, Marcus). Also due to the Captain's request, how old he's turning is not being advertised. Presents are highly discouraged, and singing "happy birthday" is absolutely prohibited. Cake will be provided in the breakroom, as opposed to the normal refreshments. Come to think of it, this isn't really a celebration at all.
The Sergeant's Exam is coming up next year for all who are interested. Anyone who is thinking about attempting it, it is recommended that you speak to your superior officers beforehand.
